To the Great Outdoors!

Take a look at some of the best national parks in California.

Many of us Sea Kings tend to spend our weekends and holidays using technology. One convenient way to take a break from electronics may be by visiting a national park. Not only will  going out of town to spend some time in nature be good for your mental health, but it will also keep you physically active. In addition to these advantages, you’ll have learning opportunities in nature and wildlife. While others decide to spend their time on phone or Netflix, you’ll have a chance to fill up your knowledge with science and history. Here are some of the top national parks in California to motivate your interest in one day visiting them.

Yosemite National Park

With over millions of years of glacier erosion of granitic bedrocks, Yosemite National Park illustrates its extraordinary landscape features, including U-shaped valleys, free-falling waterfalls, and domes. Some fascinating activities available at this United Nations World Heritage site includes wildlife watching, rafting, fishing, and biking. It is located in Sierra Nevada Mountains and its area is as big as 1,160 miles squared.  I personally enjoyed wandering around in the park because I love taking pictures of natures and I feel the significance of that particular nature in the historical event.

Death Valley National Park

It may sound like a place to get away from, but go ahead and experience this beautiful and lively site. This vast east California desert is usually fiercely hot and often times the first-time visitors are stunned by the vivid colors of deserts.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks

Sequoia is home to the biggest tree in the world, such as the Redwoods, which has a volume of 1,487 cubic meters and approximately weighs 2,000tons. Sequoia and Kings Canyon is located to just south-east of Yosemite and are co-regulated and share a border as well. If you are looking for a place that has lake, ponds, and miles of rivers along with streams, which together forms watersheds in the park, you fit perfectly with Sequoia and Kings Canyon.

National parks are ideal for relaxation and a great way to explore a new region in your state. They’re affordable, and every park has its own unique and different history behind the wildlife. With that being said, Sea Kings, let’s escape from technology and experience some nature life on weekends or holidays.
