Sesay Honored with Award

Abdul Sesay, PVHS technology aide, was recently rewarded with the Excellent Service to Humanity award for being the founder of GIVE BACK to the CHILDREN PROJECT.

Sesay endured a remarkable journey to become an American College Graduate and Computer Coordinator at Palos Verdes High School after being an orphaned refugee in the 10 year Sierra Leone war.

Sesay aspires to “GIVE BACK” to the children, and GBCP’s goal is to send a container full of computer equipment, school supplies, clothes, and sports equipment annually to the children of Sierra Leone.

“We want to create a future for these kids. And the reason why we concentrate on technology is because the world we live in now is a world of technology,” said Sesay.

On Friday, November 10, the Fourth Annual Gala and Auction of GBCP is being held at the Embassy States by Hilton to support the Sierra Leone children.
