Hustle, Hit, and Never Quit

Tennis star commits to UCSB

As spring comes along, more commits are springing to sign. Like father like son, senior Kai Brady committed to University of California at Santa Barbara to play tennis this next fall.

“Once I met all the guys on the team it was pretty clear at that point UCSB was the right choice,” said Brady.

Getting into tennis was something his dad had taught him at a young age so he had a jump start on the game.

Brady took four school visits to Cal Poly SLO, University of Washington, Yale and UCSB. Each visit he would meet with the coach and spend time with the guys on the team to get a feel of how his college experience would be.

“I liked all of the schools, but UCSB was the only one that had everything I wanted,” said Brady.

After playing tennis his whole life, Brady realized freshman year that he needed to get serious about playing so that he could play in college. Brady’s dad was there to help coach and support him throughout his career and recruiting process.
