Tips to Combat the PV Plague

Tips to Combat the PV Plague

Spring Break is just around the corner which means spring is here. As the sun shines once again, and new life begins to emerge and spring finally settles in so does something else: spring fever.
So if you happen to be stuck at home with the sniffles, here are a few things you can do to take your mind off of it. After all, at least you can be happy, you’re not at school.
Whatever you do, don’t come to school. As much as your presence is missed, no one wants your germs. We are all trying to escape the PV Plague and would appreciate if those who are sick would keep their germs to themselves.
Our condolences to all of you, but please just stay at home and get better. Think of it as a mini vacation and relax. If you are really missing school, feel free to do your homework, and if you are really, really missing it, go crazy and catch up on all the class work you are missing as well. Otherwise, now is a great time to take a load off.
Curl up in a blanket, grab your “get well” remedies and hit play on the DVD player. It is a tragedy that you are under the weather, but why not take advantage of the situation.
As a busy PV High student, we know your time is extremely limited, so use this free time to kick back. As you are probably not up to moving, this is a perfect time for a movie marathon.
You can catch up on all of the big hits, and must sees in the comfort of your PJs.
Thank goodness for Netflix. You’re sick – no one can stop you from watching season upon season of Gossip Girl or Breaking Bad, after all what else do they expect you to do, go for a jog?
It has been a while since you’ve been able to take the time to just sit and read a good book. Take this time as an opportunity to catch up on the stacks of books in your house.
You can feel good about taking a break from all those glowing screens that continuously control our days.
If you are feeling up to it, and you are lucky, or unlucky I guess, to have friends who are sick at the same time why not hang out. You are all stuck in the same boat, so why not be sick together. After all, misery loves company.
Although you may not be able to see your friends in person, that does not mean you can’t see them at all. Due to the magical tools of social media in our world today, there are endless ways to connect with others
Why not take advantage of this and Skype or Facetime with you friends. What are friends for, if not to make you feel better?
They can sympathize with you while you laugh at the fact that they have to do homework and go to school the next day.
Considering you are a high school student, it is more likely than not that you are extremely sleep deprived. So what you really need to do is just sleep. Put away your phone and computer, turn off the TV and go to bed.
A nice long rest can do you a lot more good than you know. Even if this doesn’t cure you, it is almost guaranteed that you will feel at least a little better after you get some of that much needed sleep
Being sick truly sucks, especially when a world of worry generally washes over you. Instead of trying to brave through it, and pushing through, while infecting numerous others, take the time to relax and get better. You deserve a break after all.
