Jane the Virgin Review

This telenovela spin-off is now starting its third season, and I can say that it doesn’t disappoint. Seasons one and two were filled with crazy drama, back and forth love triangles and shocking twists.

Season one was definitely a relationship rollercoaster. Jane, a young woman, was starting her writing career. Her boyfriend Michael, was about to propose. Just then Jane was accidentally artificially inseminated. Then, Jane found herself falling in love with someone else. After Michael found out Jane was pregnant, they tried to make it work, but eventually broke off the engagement. Heartbroken, Jane tried to focus on her writing, and Michael focused on his job as a detective. However, his detective work kept involving Jane and her family. Making it more awkward, Jane just had another man’s baby. The baby, Mateo, was kidnapped, and Michael swooped in to help. After that, the two realized that they still loved each other, and got back together, to get married! Now, the two are planning the wedding!

Jane is just about the busiest there is. Juggling work, family, her son, and now the wedding. After her house flooded, they were forced to move out, and she could no longer get married in her childhood home. Her dad, a famous actor, insists on renting a fancy venue and creating a huge wedding that Jane doesn’t want. After picking her dream venue, the settle on a smaller wedding. Meanwhile, crazy police work has kept Michael extremely busy.

Finally, the wedding day has arrived. Everything has worked itself out, and the couple is prepared. But they’ve got a lot in store.Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger and which Jane’s husband, Michael, got shot on their wedding night. Who did it? Here is a sneak peek into the first few episodes of season three…

As of now, Michael is recovering, Jane’s son, Mateo, is entering pre-school and coincidentally going through a biting phase. The rest of Jane’s family has got some crazy drama of their own, as well as Jane and Michael with their new home. I look forward to a great new season of Jane the Virgin!
