Career Club

Our school is known to stand out for its amazing academics, incredible sports, and fun atmosphere. Part of the fun atmosphere includes the wonderful clubs that are offered, and one in particular that stands out is the career club.

This is a student-run club, and the presidents are very excited for the upcoming year. The career club is open to students of all grade levels, and all are encouraged to join. This club is a great way to explore so many opportunities no matter what you are interested in career-wise. It was made to help students that want to consider multiple paths. The club even offers guest speakers that talk about career paths that many may not know about. Later in the second semester, the career club will be planning a Career club Fair, an event in which students can hear from guests speakers that will discuss interesting career opportunities to give students an open mind. Students will also be able to learn how to fill out a resume, along with other career related topics.

When asked the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Most high school students aren’t quite sure. “When I started high school, everyone asked me what I wanted to do when I graduate and I didn’t, and still do not, know. I really want to introduce lesser-known careers to the student body to make the transition through high school and into college easier, more fun, and interesting. There are many important careers nobody knows about and I want to explore them.” Says sophomore, Skylar M, club president.
